Jack Dawson (Regency) Funeral Services is an independent, family-run funeral home based in Stoke-on-Trent, which has been faithfully serving local residents for a great number of years. Combining a high degree of professionalism with compassionate support and advice, we endeavour to meet all our families’ personal requirements – whatever they may be. The Regency name was added to Jack Dawson Funeral Directors in 2005 when Caroline’s Father and Brother took over the business, which was then situated on Uttoxeter Road. Jack Dawson established his own business in 1970 after he moved away from the Dawson family business, which had been long-established by his Grandfather, John Dawson, in 1872. Jack and his brother, Harry, served the local families in their own individual ways, following on their family tradition until their retirements in the 1990s. At this time Jim Goodwin, Jack’s manager and right-hand man, took over the business on Uttoxeter Road, until his retirement in 2005 when our family purchased the business. Since 2005 many changes have been made to the business, including moving premises, but throughout the last decade, the Dawson dedication to caring for, supporting and comforting the bereaved families of Longton, Dresden and the surrounding areas has always been the mainstay of what we do.In 2010 Caroline took over the running of the family business when her Father retired, and she is now recognised as one of the few female funeral directors in Stoke-on-Trent. As members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), our service complies with the highest standards of funeral practice and, as such, you and your family may rest assured knowing that your loved one is being cared for in the best possible way.
