Ian George Funeral Services is an independent and family owned firm of funeral directors in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. We are proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors, the Irish Association of Funeral Directors, and the International Federation of Thanatologists (FIAT/IFTA). In 1981, our director Ian was awarded the Diploma in Funeral Directing, and in 1982 he qualified as an embalmer being admitted into full membership of the British Institute of Embalmers. Ian George Funeral Services actively contributes to the education and training of funeral professionals as Ian holds a Directorship on the Board of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. Our Company motto is 'Honouring lives, comforting loss', and we instil that into all of our staff from the moment we begin training them. It is the ultimate aim we strive for in all families were serve, to honour the lives of the deceased that we are privileged to provide funeral services for and to comfort their families and loved ones that they leave behind. We do this by keeping our standards high in everything that we do, by listening closely to the families concerned and paying close attention to their wishes and requirements, and by delivering them right down to the smallest detail.
