Gore Brothers Ltd based at our head office on Thanet Road, Margate, Kent, is an independent, family-run company committed to providing a personal service of the highest standard. As well as Margate, we also have offices in Birchington, Westgate, Cliftonville, Ramsgate and Broadstairs where you will be served with dignity and respect and have access to our stunning fleet of Mercedes and vintage Daimlers. Established in the mid-nineteenth century by brothers Thomas Gore and Job Gore (hence the name, Gore Brothers), our first speciality was to supply general goods and apparel to smaller funeral companies in the local area. Before this time, as far back as 1831, Thomas Gore was involved in the funeral profession, again mostly providing funeral supplies such as ducape scarves and gloves to truncheons and wands – before going on to join forces with his brother. Unfortunately, having served local families since 1933, Tom passed away on the 28th May, 2015 aged 99. His wealth of experience was passed onto the next generation, Gore Brothers remains in the capable hands of the Gore family with Dr Philip Gore, Michael Gore and Clare Gore not running the day to day operations of the business.
