Fosters Funeral Directors in Burnside and Rutherglen are one of the three largest independent family funeral directors in Scotland. We endeavour to bring down the rising cost of funeral services and have dedicated funeral directors who can cover all of Scotland if necessary. Fosters Funeral Directors proudly deliver a totally personal service to each individual and their families, and we give you the chance to tailor the funeral and ceremony to fit exactly what suits you and your needs best. Pre-payment plans are also available to help you plan for the future, and our highly-trained staff are able to deal with customers in a sympathetic and understanding nature at all times to help them plan during times of great sorrow and difficulty. We offer a wide range of funeral services that include direct cremations and have a number of flexible packages available to make things simpler at lower costs and with a lack of time constraints. At Foster Funeral Directors we’re able to assist with all aspects of funeral arrangement. From a wide range of headstones and memorial items in a variety of designs and colours to floral tributes including casket sprays in a range of arrangements and colours, we can have much to offer to make the ceremony more personal still. We can also arrange special details such as the releasing of doves at the graveside or at the conclusion of the service and can provide personalised poetry courtesy of local poet Evelyn Balloch which can be read aloud at the ceremony and kept as a keepsake. Our fleet of hearses and limousines include classic Mercedes-Benz E-class motors as we believe that only the best will do at this important and sensitive time. Each limousine has a capacity for 6 people in the back and room for an extra person in the front should that be necessary.
“I hadn't heard of Foster's Funeral Directors before and on my first instance I contacted the co-op as you normal think when you have to arrange a funeral but when someone mentioned that they can be expensive i decided to look further into it through funeral brokers and they came up with Foster's showing a saving of over £1000 I was a bit sceptical as I hadn't heard of them before but I can honestly say they couldn't have done anything better and certainly the customer care they showed right from the start scored more points with me than the co-op hence why I cancelled any further arrangements with the co-op and changed everything to Foster's and was not disappointed. I will use them again and would recommend them to everyone.”
“From the moment I stepped in to Fosters all my worries were taken away. They arranged everything and detailed it all. Kept in constant contact and gave my dear mum the send off she deserved. They treated my mum like a princess. Their prices are fantastic with no hidden extras. I am forever indebted to them. My mum can now rest in peace thanks to the the kind staff of Fosters. Tony, Terry, Patsy, Pete, Phil, Pauline. Thank you from the bottom of my heart xxx”
“Thank you very much to Tony Pauline Terry and John for dealing with my Father in Laws funeral. You covered all the wishes that our family wanted and nothing was too difficult. You made a very emotional day a lot easier for the family and we would like to thank you all for all your hard work.”
“Our three-year-old son Clinton was run over by a van on the island of Jersey, he died a few days later after being flown by air ambulance to Southampton. Having used Fosters for my mum's funeral last year we knew exactly who to turn to in our hour of need. Terry dealt with us and nothing was too much for him, he went way above and beyond what we could have hoped for in ensuring that everything went exactly as we wanted it. Clinton's body was conveyed from Southampton by his colleague Jon, who literally went the extra mile for us and our son. Nothing was too much for the staff at Fosters - if I could give them a rating of an extra star then I would. I cannot sing their praises high enough. The attention to detail was incredible. They ensured our wee boy was given the best send-off we could possibly have given him. It is so difficult to deal with the loss of a loved one and Clinton's untimely death has been particularly hard for all of us to deal with. I also want to thank Terry, John and the rest of the staff at Fosters for the emotional support we were afforded. They proveide a service beyond compare.”
“I would give you full marks for everything, the service was beautiful and I was very pleased with the way you had presented my Granddad, he was as handsome as ever and looked so peaceful, I can't thank you enough for your support from all my family.”
