I lost my Dad on 20th January; something I never thought I would have to experience at the age of 21. We had never had to deal with losing someone so close before, so choosing a funeral director was alien to us. We came across Beyond Aylesbury, and instantly took a liking to both Rachel and Lindsay. They were so caring, understanding and extremely compassionate when dealing with such a huge loss to us all. Rachel came out to our house to introduce herself, and allowed us time to take everything in. My Dad was a serving Metropolitan Police Officer, so we were expecting a big turnout. They treated Dad with such respect when preparing him for The Chapel of Rest. I was in two minds whether to go and see Dad, as I really didn't know what to expect. We sat in the waiting area after Lindsay had made us all something to drink, and were allowed as much time as we needed to, to see Dad for the first time. When I walked into the room, I sobbed. With sadness, but also happiness. He looked so peaceful. The room was lit with dimmed lights, and they were even playing Elvis quietly in the background as they knew Dad loved The King! A table was set up at the back of the room with a photo of Dad, a candle and his police hat. Everything was just how we wanted, but most importantly, just how Dad wanted. They took so much time and consideration into everything. From polishing the buttons on Dads jacket, to making sure his bracelet with our names on were visible. They designed and ordered our order of service books, after arranging a celebrant (Dave Foster) to hold the cremation. Dave was also such a pleasure to work alongside with! They even opened up on the Sunday before Dads funeral to give everyone a chance to say goodbye, and arranged a photographer for us last minute when we decided we wanted one! I emailed Lindsay on the Sunday morning and asked if I brought in an ink pad, would they mind taking dads prints for me for a possible future tattoo.. when I got there about an hour after to say my goodbyes, Lindsay pulled out a sheet of Dads hand print, and finger prints they had taken already before I even asked! Nick, the funeral director, was in contact with the Police leading up to Dads big day, to make sure everything went perfect. Nick drove the route we chose from Aylesbury, to Watford and then East Finchley beforehand, to familiarise himself and ensure there were no delays on the day. Professionalism at its finest. Even after the funeral was over and I had collected Dads ashes, Lindsay offered to keep them safe whilst we chose an Urn and had it delivered to them direct. ‘Beyond' really did go above and beyond to make such an awful time for us, a little bit more bearable. So; Rachel, Lindsay, Nick and James - thank you from the bottom of my very broken heart. You really did play a huge part in giving my Dad the send off he deserved
Unfortunately my husband passed away on 20th January 2020. My life was turned upside down as you can imagine, but we managed to give him the best send off I have ever seen. Rachel, Lindsay and Nick managed to arrange and organise the most amazing day to wish him farewell. Right from the moment I first contacted the branch, they were sincere, endearing, comforting, respectful and quite frankly, perfect. Without their support and guidance I wouldn't have known where to start. They talked me through every single step and took the reigns when the needed to. They accommodated to our every need, including opening on a Sunday so we could go and visit Paul for one final time. Over 600 people were in attendance at the cremation in north London, so one would imagine that the day would have been hectic and stressful. It wasn't. They took care of everything. They also recommended a civil minister to lead the ceremony, Dave Foster, what an amazing job he did. It was the perfect balance of a celebration of life, but also an opportunity to mourn and say goodbye. Although the circumstances of our meeting were the worst possible, they made the experience more pleasurable than I could have ever wished for. I can not give them a big enough thank you for everything that they have done, nothing I can say will do their services justice. Thank you to Rachel, Lindsay and Nick for giving my husband the best.

The branch is beautifully set out, my wife thought it was very comforting and welcoming, we were given fresh drinks whilst making arrangements, and the continuous care until the day of the funeral was exceptional. It was a lovely gesture to be able to write our wills for free as well.
