The story behind Allan Menzies Funeral Directors begins with Allan becoming a trainee funeral director many years ago. After a short time, Allan realised that he had found a career that he loved and wanted to dedicate himself too. Shortly after, he became a qualified funeral director and followed this by spending four and a half years with a large funeral director company, Working for a large company was always somewhat unfulfilling however, and this is where his journey took him to a smaller private funeral director. This is where Allan learnt that what was missing was the personal touch. Looking after a family from the very first call through to the end of the funeral is vital to providing good service. After moving back to Glasgow, he decided the time was right to open up his own family-run funeral directors, choosing a location in the heart of the city where he grew up as a boy. We will assist you in arranging whatever type of funeral you are after, whether it is something traditional or something more bespoke. We also offer a direct cremation service which any of our team will be more than happy to talk to you about. From the first phone call you have with us, your loved one will be cared for and treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Our funeral home, which can be found on Gallowgate, has been made to feel very homely.
