Hello
I lost my dear father two weeks ago, he was in his mid-70s.
He did not leave any wishes for his funeral so I have opted for a traditional burial in a cemetery, and no embalming due to what it involves.
I would like to use a coffin or casket that best preserves his body in the coming years – I know some find it odd but it matters to me.
I have read good and bad things about caskets with a special airtight seal. Also there are zinc-lined coffins, however I understand they might be more for transportation than long-term preservation.
FY,I the cemetery will bury the casket/coffin straight into the soil, six feet under (with no concrete vault or lining).
Can anyone give me some advice on what to choose for dad?
Many Thanks
R
