Carlisle Crematorium

Carlisle Crematorium on Dalston Road in Carlisle is located on high ground that overlooks Carlisle and Solway Plain. Services for the cremation can take place at your own place of worship or they can be carried out at the crematorium chapel. Civil ceremonies are also available. The crematorium can be accessed through the main entrance to Carlisle cemetery which is just off Richardson Street south of the city centre. The crematorium building is open between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 1pm to 4:30pm on weekends and bank holidays. Once the cremation service has taken place, you may want to create a lasting memorial and this can be arranged through the crematorium staff. The crematorium is managed by Carlisle City Council Bereavement Services and services are provided under the Charter for the Bereaved.
