Funeral directors also help you find and co-ordinate professionals offering the services they don’t cover themselves, such as flowers, food, venues and transportation.

How much do funeral directors cost?

Funeral costs can be broken down into two categories:

The cost for the funeral directors’ services and time.
‘Disbursements’: third party costs for additional services the funeral director arranges on your behalf, such as burial or cremation fees, flowers, transport and so on.

The average amount spent on funeral director services in the UK is £2,491, while the average amount spent on ‘disbursements’ is £1,587. The total average funeral cost is £4,078. But with Beyond, the total cost for funerals averages £2,629. That’s 55% less.
